Cookie Policy
Last updated: January 2025
This policy explains what cookies and similar storage technologies are used on Easy GPA Converter and what they do. It works alongside our privacy policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let sites remember things between visits — such as preferences — and are also used by analytics and advertising services to recognise visitors across pages.
Cookies set directly by this site
We don't set first-party tracking cookies. The only thing we save on your device is a dark-mode preference, stored in your browser's localStorage under the key egc-theme. Strictly speaking this is not a cookie, but we mention it here because it's the one piece of state the site itself stores on your device. It contains either the value light or dark and nothing else.
Third-party cookies
Analytics
We use a privacy-respecting analytics setup that helps us understand aggregate page popularity. Depending on the provider, this may involve cookies or anonymous device identifiers. We do not use analytics to identify individuals or build advertising profiles.
Advertising
The site may display third-party advertising (for example via Google AdSense). Ad networks can set their own cookies to measure ad performance and, where allowed, deliver personalised ads. These cookies are governed by the ad provider's policies. You can manage personalised-ad preferences at Google Ad Settings and at aboutads.info.
Embedded content
We don't currently embed videos or social feeds. If we add embedded content in the future, those embeds may set their own cookies, which will be governed by the originating service's privacy policy.
How to control cookies
You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings. Major browsers all provide controls under their privacy or site-data sections. Clearing cookies will also clear the dark-mode preference described above, and the next visit will default back to light mode.
To disable JavaScript local storage entirely, use your browser's site-data controls or browse in a private window — local storage in private windows is cleared when the session ends.
Do-not-track signals
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" header. The advertising and analytics ecosystem doesn't apply a single standard for honouring it, so we cannot guarantee any specific behaviour from third-party services. We don't collect personal data from this signal ourselves.
Changes
If we change which third-party services we use, this page will be updated. Significant changes will be noted on the homepage for a reasonable period.
